What IS God's good news? What SHOULD the evangelists be telling them?
[The gospel as explained below is not what you would necessarily tell a man in the bush the moment you met him! Download this file to get a fuller picture of the missionary's message. But in the end, when the groundwork is laid, this is the message all people ultimately need to hear.]

An “Uhakika” missionary works with evangelists to help them grasp the news of the best free gift ever,
the news that anyone who ...
1) quits running and hiding from the fact that he's evil, defiantly ignoring God, rejecting God's right to rule him, and, instead, just throws himself on God's mercy,
and 2) trusts the sacrifice of Jesus to have saved him from the punishment for that evil,
... is always judged, from now on, to have the innocence of God himself. God's court finds you "Always obedient".
And what punishment do I deserve?
To be rejected by God forever.
How did Jesus rescue me?
He agreed to be rejected instead of me.
He took all God's anger for all my evil.
Because Jesus is God, and totally clean, the 'time' he for me when he died on the cross has saved me doing 'time' forever.
Now I'm clean in his court.
And I'm clean for keeps - I have eternal life - even though God is still cleaning-up my character. That's a work in progress.
